Photography Judging Page – Special Artists

Hello, Reflections Judge. Thank you for agreeing to judge the Photography category! Below are the Photography entries in the Special Artists division, which includes students identified as having Special Needs, at any grade level. Special Needs students may choose to enter this division or to enter the division for their age level.

Please read the Artist’s Statement for each entry (above the photo) before evaluating each photo. Artist’s Statements retain the original spelling and grammar, with “translations” provided as necessary.

The judging criteria are Creativity, Technique, and Interpretation of the Theme (“Heroes Around Us”). For more details, see the Photography Introduction page and the Judge’s Instructions & Rubric.

We have only one Special Artist entry, so judging is not necessary. If you would like to review the entry and make comments for the student, we’ll be sure to pass them on. Send them to

AlexandriaPTACreflections@gmail.com.

⇓ My Hero Is My Dad and He Wears a Uniform. ARTIST’S STATEMENT: “My photography is a picture of my hero, my dad. My work relates to the theme because he has been around me all my life. He has been in the army for twenty-three years. He serves our country and protects us and because of that he is my hero.”
