Reflections is a national PTA arts program. Students create artwork in six different categories (Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts) interpreting a theme, and compete against others in their age group division.

Students submit art through the school PTA. In each category and age division, only the 1st-place entry advances to the next level. Contest levels:

  • Individual school (“Local Unit,” in PTA-speak)
  • Alexandria City (the PTA Council)
  • Northern Virginia (the PTA District)
  • Virginia State PTA
  • National PTA

More important than the competition is the chance to experiment, create, and have fun.
